Matt Elliott

Matt Elliott started his coaching career after retiring from playing at the St George Dragons in 1993. The first coaching opportunity came at the Dragons as Under 21’s coach then as First Grade Assistant in 1995. Matt then moved to the Bradford Bulls as assistant coach. In 1997 he took the reigns at the Bulls leading them to a Super League Title and setting a record of twenty consecutive wins. In the next three years Bradford won the Challenge Cup, made the semi’s every year and appeared in another Grand Final.  In 2001 he was made Head Co-Coach of the  Canberra Raiders with Mal Meninga.

In 2002 he took over as Head Coach and the Raiders made the Semi-Finals, making the finals three out of the next four years. Matt moved to the Penrith Panthers in 2007 for the next five seasons.  The Club finished second in the regular season in 2010.  2013 saw Matt move to the New Zealand Warriors for two seasons. During this time he acted as a consultant to Rip Curls surfers including three-time World Champion Mick Fanning.

Matt has an academic background in Sports Science.

Matt worked in Local Government firstly as a Recreation Officer, then specialized in Youth Work finishing with an Executive Role in Community Services. Today he uses his life experiences to better equip businesses to perform at their peak.  Matt offers a raft of services to  corporations, government and industry which includes mental fitness training, wellness and stress management, organisational cultural change, leadership programs, corporate coaching and mentoring, health, nutrition and fitness programs.
